Help and aid provided
The 电竞go比赛手机版v5.9 IOS版(电竞go下注手游)n government took the lead by offering several initiatives and financial packages to help small businesses. The private sector meanwhile also came to the aid. One of these initiatives that were launched back in April 2020 (at the height of the pandemic) was the Sama-Sama Lokal online platform by Maybank.
Targeted for local businesses
The Sama-Sama Lokal platform (which means Local Together), was intended to help local hawkers weather through the hard times brought about by the MCO (Movement Control Order). Generally, small businesses can tap onto the wide coverage and branding of Maybank because their business can be listed on the website. Meanwhile, external delivery fees will be covered by Maybank. This platform makes it really good for businesses to:
- Gain more awareness through the online platform
- Start venturing onto the technology and digitizing of their business
- Get more business due to the drop in traffic because of the MCO.
How does it work?
For consumers, they can go through Maybank’s website and browse the vendors there. They can choose either to collect the food themselves or to have them delivered by a third-party service provided. Instant transfer and Maybank’s QR Pay are standard payment options. Maybank will cover the delivery cost for up to 10km.
This does not only cover hawkers as Sama-Sama Lokal also include other sectors like health services, groceries and others. This has been quite a successful platform where a lot of food sellers have benefited. A year after its launch (April 2021), the platform has expanded and upgraded. Maybank has since directly integrated the Sama-Sama Lokal platform to its Maybank2U app which means payment can be more seamless and convenient.
So, is it as good as it sounds?
Since the MCO came about, convenience and safety have been the main priority for consumers while they also emphasize with the hardships that local businesses are facing. This is a good platform especially for home and small food sellers who have been trying to make ends meet since COVID-19. With more than 8,000 merchants listed to date, this platform would be expected to grow and expand further.
